Great show! Good food! Hard to see everything in a single day! I understand that the cart traffic is annoying to some people, however it is necessary for others! THE HANDICAPPED! I would not like to trade places with them! Be thankful for your health and enjoy the show!
I have attended the show three out of the last four years. Although I have no particular interest in tractors it's still fun to look around at all the different displays. Its a very popular event. People come from all over the country and Canada to attend. The whole town is full of garage sales and traveling vendors all week. Even when we don't attend the show we still walk through the streets of vendors and buy dinner from the various food trucks.
As straightforward as the cost to attend the swap and sell sounds ($5.00 per person per day), be leary of the fast talking guy taking your money. I was duped out of $10.00. Yeah, I know, it's only $10.00. It's the principle of the matter. I will elaborate on my experience in detail when have access to my computer (doing this on phone). I must have looked like a gullible city boy. To clarify, this comment is for the Swap and Sell Meets in October.
Too many gulf carts with people parking 3 inches from vendors thinking they have the right of way. Someone is going to get hurt. I say no handicap placard no gulf cart. Young kids can walk.
In previous years it went on til Sunday. Saturday was always busy with lots of vendors and tractors. This year the last day was Saturday. We arrived at 9am on Saturday while vendors and tractors were leaving. By noon there were hardly any vendors left. We've been going for 15 years always on Saturday. This will be our last year.
